According to the Team Director, Luis Aracena, “Last year’s success of our team was a matter of consistency. All of our team members, with the exception of one, made it through at least one round. Some of them placed in the top 10, such as Mendez and Reid who placed 5th and 6th. We’re stoked and optimistic for the upcoming event, we’ve new additions like Victor Peralta for the Masters division; he’s one of the country top surfers, former National Champ for several times. We’re hoping to improve on our last year’s position, knowing that strong countries as Australia will be competing and also Brazil will be with a full team.”
