At the BSA AGM held at Marcus Hall on sat 25th
Oct 2008 a proposal was put forward to the executive that the BSA should look
at including masters surfing (35yrs +) within the framework of the BSA 's agenda
to encourage to take up the sport of surfing by the more mature person, rejuvenating
masters who may have dropped out through other commitments, coaching, support
for the elite masters up to British team level and ultimately maintaining the
attendance of a British Masters team at the ISA World Masters.
The executive were very positive and are going
to look at various ways to follow this through. It will not happen over night
but is looking good for the future. If you can think of any ideas that may
help to steer this in the right direction please feel free to contact and i
will endeavor to present to the BSA.
